SPC ACADEMY JOINS THE DISCIPLESHIP PROJECT!

Launched this past spring with two classes - World Religions/Multicultural Stories & Beginning Hebrew/Study in Genesis - the Academy continues this fall as part of the Discipleship Project at SPC.

The Discipleship Project challenges every person to reach a goal of 5 credits for spiritual education over the next 12 months, with a communal goal of 250 credits for the church as a whole!

There are many options to choose from, including classes, books to read, videos to watch, and even adopting the discipline of reading the Bible over the course of 1 or 3 years.

The SPC Academy is offering a class using the book, "Unbinding Your Heart:  40 Days of Prayer and Faith Sharing" by Martha Grace Reese.  The class will consist of individual daily devotions & a weekly reading to be discussed with the whole class once a week.  This is a unique opportunity to grow and mature in faith.  If you'd like to be part of the class, call 248-356-1430 & ask for Dr. Acton.  There is a $25 charge for the book.  Scholarship help is available.  The registration deadline is Sept. 21, 2008!!!
